January 2019 Newsletter

As we move into 2019, resolutions and goals for this coming year are a reminder of who we have been, who we hope to become, and how we can honor lives that have been lost by being the best version of ourselves that we can be. We at Professionals United for Parkland encourage our members and ourselves that the greatest gift we can give is to continue to guide and soothe the community by staying active, staying present, and continuing to share our hearts with those most in need.


Thank you for all that you are doing to help and thank you for gathering together with us to be a presence of education and support in the community.


 

Program Spotlight Petition for Peter Wang to receive The Presidential Medal of Honor Students from MSD have spoken out and asked for support in petitioning the President to posthumously award Peter Wang the Presidential Medal of Honor. "Brave" is the word most often used to describe Peter's actions during the tragedy at Douglas. He lost his life ushering his fellow students to safety. Now it is our turn to ensure Peter receives the recognition and honor he so much deserves for his heroic acts.
